Biscotti Break!

At the Deep Cove Cafe,
the biscotti is there, really!

This past Saturday was a great day for a ride to Deep Cove in North Vancouver. Along with the good company of Guy(le Grimpeur) we conquered about 60kms on flat & hilly terrain. Hills that is, some quite steep, too! But as we reach the turnaround point at beautiful Panorama Park (what a view!) we decided for a pit stop of café & chocolate biscotti. The weather was just perfect; sunny and approaching 16 C as we eventually left the comforts of the café and went up one of the many steep roads. I hung on to Guy’s rear wheel riding on my granny gear(42X24). Tantalizingly we passed the very steep Mt. Seymour road, and we bypassed it for another time. We cruised back over the Second Narrows Bridge and back towards Vancouver.

What a great morning as we agreed to the next ride …to Port Moody. Hopefully along the way with plenty of café & biscotti!

My 'Metauro Mobili Pinarello' team jersey is 25 years old and dates back to the 1984 Giro. What a fine way to celebrate the start of the Giro d'Italia!
