Poupou & the Voice of le Tour.
Two of my favorite Tour celebrities are Raymond Poulidor (the Eternal Second) and Daniel Mangeas (the Voice).
Poupou earned the eternal second moniker finishing the Tour in second place three times and in third place five times. In 1976, at the remarkable age of 40, he finished his last Tour in third place.
Since 1974, Daniel Mangeas is the Voice of the Tour. The classy and distinctive voice that receives the riders at the end of each stage!
